Holding a degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Structures from the University of Minho, Sofia is a senior member of the Order of Engineers.
She has over 20 years of experience in the sector, and, for the past 13 years, held roles in Project Management and Monitoring at municipal company Gestão e Obras do Porto EM, where she was responsible for multiple interventions within the city’s municipal heritage, covering both public buildings and urban spaces, and ensuring the management and supervision of all project phases, from initial submission through to project completion and handover, coordinating all teams involved.
She has extensive experience in structural design, building rehabilitation and restoration, construction supervision, and public procurement.
