Each unit uses solid brick to reduce maintenance costs; incorporates photovoltaic panels; heat recovery systems, and A+ energy performance equipment; features underfloor heating and other options with high thermal and acoustic performance; and provides garages sized to accommodate electric vehicle chargers.

The architectural design is conceived to create interconnected spaces that foster family interaction and create a strong relationship between the interior of the house and the garden.

The spatial layout, based on courtyard-style houses, allows for a hybridisation of areas, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces. The ground floor houses the social areas, including the kitchen, dining room, and living room, while the upper floor contains the private areas, providing greater tranquillity and privacy.

The architectural project is delivered by Cerejeira Fontes Architects, a company founded in 1996 and based in Braga, specialising in architecture, urban planning, interior design, engineering, project management, and construction supervision.

Their portfolio includes high-scale and complex projects, and the studio’s work has been recognised in multiple national and international competitions and awards.
