Francisco Rocha Antunes

Holds a degree in Business Management and has been working in the real estate since 1989. Francisco has developed projects for car parks, shopping and leisure centres, housing, industrial parks, offices, student residences and mixed-use developments. In 2002, he founded +urbano, an independent real estate development company based in Porto, serving the northern Portuguese market. 

 

As one of the pioneers in the urban regeneration of Porto’s downtown, he has been awarded three national prizes, for Passeio dos Clérigos (Porto, 2013), Fábrica ASA (Guimarães, 2013) and Mercado do Bolhão (2023). He developed the Quarteirão de D. João I and was coordinator of the Bolhão Market Office. He is currently working on the project for the former Central do Freixo in Porto and serves as a consultant for the redevelopment of the former Porto Industrial Slaughterhouse

 

Since 2010, he has been an eminent professional and fellow of the RICS – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, in Planning and Development, and a member of the ULI – Urban Land Institute since 1994, serving as co-chair of the European Council on Affordable Housing. He is also a guest lecturer at Porto Business School, on the Postgraduate Course in Real Estate Management.
